More than a pound cake, lighter than an Egg Nog Pound Cake, our Advocaat Liqueur Cake is....well, scrumptious!
Advocaat Liqueur is imported from the Netherlands. It's a creamy yellow liqueur made from a rich blend of egg yolks, sugar, brandy and a touch of vanilla. We love using it in our dessert recipes because it's pretty universal. It makes decadent custards, enhances cakes beautifully and gives a smooth texture on the palate that no other liqueur does. Of course you can make delicious Snowball Cocktails and such with, but this liqueur was truly meant to be in desserts.
This cake is light and sponge-y. The alcohol from the Brandy bakes off and leaves a wonderful hint of custard.
